    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is essentially using information you have learned as the player in an RP with your character. So maybe another player told you something outside of RP, and you used that information as your character- even though your character never actually learned it themselves.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is basically being a god-player. You 'power' over the other characters by creating an incredibly powerful character, or just not giving another person the option to defend themselves in a fight.

    My eyes travel around in awe, taking in every dot of color and light it can catch. I revel in the sounds of the busy city, being interrupted by a seemingly kind man asking what brought me here. 

    "... adventure, I suppose." I answer hesitantly, nervously fiddling with the threads on my bag.

    The cheery man smiles, and opens his arms- inviting me further into the market. I dip around him, quickly forgetting my worries and practically skipping through the city.

In regards to your question about 'Emotes', they are the actions your character makes, for example: *Aiyani takes a step forward and gasps at the views of the grand city.
