How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Using knowledge that your character doesn't know to further your agenda. ie: you get attacked and tell your friend on discord to come rescue you, or check a spot for an item because you know it's there from a forum post, etc.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when you decide something for another player or force an action, such as saying "I shoot an arrow through your chest, and you bleed out on the ground until death. You gave your opponent the chance to decide what happens to his character.
