You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
as she said, Yu-han sat down on the cushion and crossed legs - Then she awkwardly bowed her own head slightly and nodded.
a young girl's voice came out. "As you can see, I am just a beggar-" scratching the itchy back of her head as she hadn’t washed for a long time, she said in whisper level that at least herself smell less than the smell of rotten wood and wet moss.
she rubbed the side of her neck, and tilted head. "I don't know why you want my story. . did we met before?" a young bum glared her with wary eyes. . . she just could see old stranger's wrinkled face with candles in the air burning quietly. "well. . why not, It's not a great story."
she glanced briefly at the floating candles, began to tell the story. "I grew up in a slum in the Kingdom of Cathant as an orphan." she sighed, crossed her arms. "I don't know who my parents were, I just heard that someone abandoned me as a newborn on the street." she chewed her lower lips.
she clapped lightly, cleared her throat. "eh-hem. . what brings me to this town? - it's simple. ."
"I was begging on a market street, when a shopkeeper saw me and shouted that I had stolen fruit and chased after me."
she lowered her head for a moment, Then she muttered. "It was like. ." - after a few minutes, she suddenly raised my head and waved her arms up and down, imitating the man's yelling voice and angry face with exaggerated gestures, she did that for about 5 more minutes.
she spreading both hands and spoke in a high tone. "I swear to god, It wasn't me!"
put her hands on knees and continued talking. "by the way, I ran away and ended up hiding in a ship's storage. ."
she scratched the bridge of her nose with index finger, silent for a moment then she continued telling her story. "soo, I decide took a nap to rest for a while until the merchant stopped looking for me." she leaned her head slightly towards old hag's face. "you know what happened?" her face more getting close to old woman's face, narrowed her eyes. "the ship departed with me!!" she said 'oops, sorry' after that, sat back down on the cushion. "when I opened my eyes, I realized that I was in the middle of the ocean." she sighed deeply. "Isn't this really absurd?" then laughed like an idiot. "you know What's even more absurd?"
she paused a bit, emphasized next part. "It's wrecked." she waved her hands here and there and stamped them on the floor, "So I drifted away, andd TADA! - I'm here." and raised her hands in the air. ". . haha, that's all." she stand up, brushed the dust off her clothes - even it's already dirty.
"I have to go find a place to sleep for now." With those words, she walked out of the tent. "bye-bye"
