You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
"Good evening, My name is Linus Birchleaf, of Adunians' breed. " Here Linus starts to stutter, as it is typical for an introvert as him. "My story? Oh I can tell so many things bu-but I don't know how exciting it could be. I live in ---, I have been there for my whole life. First with my mother, after my father passed away when I was little, and now on my own. My life is quite pleasant, I enjoy every single day of it. However,... " Starts sweating. "However, I feel that I could give more. I feel that enjoying my simple life, waking up with the only purpose of taking care of my garden, is not enough compared to what I could do. Even if the simplicity of my own small town is what I always wanted, it is now time to give something more, to give something back to the World after receiving such a wonderful life. This is why I'm here, I want to change for good and do something useful for the world, give me a quest and I will be at your service."

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I am a very rational person, I would just try to find something plausible in the situation. Instead of stating something irrational and unchangeable (e.g. player1 kills player2), adding a possibility of a different (more realistic) scenario (e.g. player1 tries to kill). In my case for example, I didn’t state any physical ability, so I would prefer to avoid combat, and if forced to I would probably have to surrender rather than incredibly win a difficult battle.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: I'm here for the roleplay and I would embrace it thoroughly. Metagaming is just the opposite of that. Using information from a group chat or wiki is critically detrimental to roleplay, my character is a different person from myself. An example of how metagaming can ruin the experience can be the knowledge of what is happening in the enemy regions, and changing the strategy based on this information is completely unfair.
