You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
Tango replied, albeit a bit late, with a tilt of his head. "You know, lady, you do look like the type of gal to expect me of all people." A chuckle comes out before he sits up straight again.
"I do not have an idea to why you would want to know this, but I'm just some unfortunate guy who's just living to live. To be honest, if someone were to give little me a piece of bread on the street, I take it and their fortune, Or, whatever they had on them."
"However, don't get me wrong, I don't hate anyone! I'm just less than good terms with all of the world as we know it. Not their fault, just how it is." Tango looked to the shabby tent's walls and out each individual hole. "For a comparison, this reminds me of the good old days." He laughed again, but the look on his face was more pitiable than anything. "Running from responsibilies, and still doing it to this day, that's just how it is to me. Not my favorite thing to act like I care about royals or such, so I got, and still get, into trouble a lot."
Looking to the hag, he studies her back. "If you want to know about my Mother and Father, that's a bit too embarrassing to get into complex details. Simple words, they ran from the Heartlands and left me here for... whatever reason. Do not even know if they mentioned why."
"Getting here is one of the questions that I can only partially answer. I was missing entertainment, so I went outside for a small walk. That's all. Not quite sure how to get back. Do you mind if I get a map of sorts?"
