You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
He'd look at the Hag, pondering for an moment, if he should say something or not, before giving a nod, almost to himself, as he'd fully enter the tent, taking a seat in front of the hag, before beginning to speak.
"I hail from Anthos, I am a Rassid, if you will, and I'm here to become an Blacksmith..."
He'd stop talking for an moment, as if...waiting for the Hag to Respond, assuming she didn't, he would continue talking.
"Despite that, I am not one for their Festivals and Religions...and...while they enjoy art, Only one kind has my attention...I see Blacksmithing, as an Art, but the Blacksmith's back at home don't seem to share that feeling, they create to Trade for riches, I want to learn to create, to express, if not myself, then the person I'm making it for, I want what I create to inspire fear, joy, honor, and excitement...not just make an Dime a Dozen Sword or Axe..."
He'd pause for an moment, giving the hag an chance to speak once more, before...continuing.
"I...realized that perhaps what was needed was a new perspective, something different, so I payed an trade Caravan for escort, and traveled, I'm not sure where I will go now, but, I'll figure that out, and become an Great Artist in the process!"
He'd give an chuckle at that last bit, smiling at nothing for an moment.
"Yeah...I, probably won't stay long, this place doesn't seem like what I'm looking for...I hope my story was enough for you..."
He'd stand up, starting to walk out...before...turning back toward the Hag.
"I wonder why you were expecting ME, I wouldn't say I'm that special."
Whether or not the Hag would answer, he'd simply give an nod, before leaving the Tent, to continue on his little journey.

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: An common tactic is to write an action, as an Attempt, rather then an Solid Action, I also like to use common sense, as well as ask myself "WOULD" and "COULD" my character do that at the same time, instead of just one or the other.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Metagaming, commonly Disrupts an Characters "Enemies", robbing them of the development and story telling they might give them, but also might rob them of the BONDS and story they'd make on their journey to discover or learn that thing they Metagamed. Roleplaying is about Telling and Creating an Story, Metagaming disrupts both those things.
