    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Meta-gaming is using knowledge or information that your character has not learned. For example, if I was told IRL that my friend was being attacked by bandits near Oren I cannot immediately run over to help him.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Power-gaming is the act of ignoring your characters capabilities as well as other characters capabilities. For example, I cannot say 'George punched James in the face and sent him flying across the field.

Ker tilts his head, for what reason did this man want to know? Had he already done something against the law here? He looked him up and down then sighed. He was being paranoid this man seemed to be alright.

 

“I am passing through. Although why you wish to know is beyond me, so if you will excuse me,”

 

He tries to push past the man.
