You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Cracking his knuckles, Will approached the campfire. With an absolute smile on his face, he looked at you and greeted you. "I offer my greetings. I suppose you don't know me and are eager to get to know me better. Well, let me tell you my story." Then he reached for his canteen with his right hand and took a sip. Grinning, he continued, "I was born in an ordinary village, of course. But my parents were a bit more advanced compared to this ordinary village. They were artists! They were masters of performing. Intriguing shows like sword swallowing and sword fighting, sometimes fire-breathing tricks! They really did interesting things. When I was young, I admired them a lot and longed to be like them. But of course, these desires didn't last long. My uncle came to visit us. He was an old soldier. And his absolute purpose was to serve. Of course, he sacrificed a lot on this path... The biggest thing was his eyes. I had great respect for my uncle who lost his eyes. And he often talked to me. Although I admired my family for a while longer, as I grew up, I understood what real sacrifice was. I understood what real honor and service meant. Instead of being a clown like my family... I distanced myself from them. They pressured me. I'm thinking of following my uncle's path. To serve. I'm thinking of giving not just my eyes, but a lifetime, even lifetimes on this path. My friend..." Will slowly placed his hand on your shoulder. "I want to serve people, with my sword!" he said with a smile, then after one final nod, he slowly started to walk towards the horizon."
