Legoboy7984 2587 Share Posted Sunday at 05:30 PM A LETTER TO THE ROYAL DUMA: THE PRESERVATION OF SACRED SANCTITY ACT ______________________________________________________ After carefully reviewing our existing laws, I propose a new addition to Chapter II of the Law of Crime. This legislation seeks to introduce a particular penalty for the desecration of holy relics, artifacts, or sacred symbols, defining these acts as "Blasphemous Vandalism." It is crucial to protect the sanctity of our religious and cultural heritage by addressing such offenses with a distinct legal category, rather than treating them as ordinary vandalism. This bill aims to reinforce reverence for our sacred traditions and foster a community where religious artifacts are honored. Signed, HIS LORDSHIP, Sigmund Karl of House Ludovar, Heir to Margravate of Kvasz INTRODUCTION This section establishes the proper term for an offense involving the desecration of religious items, underscoring the need for extreme measures to protect the sanctity of our religious heritage under the Haeseni Law. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Section III, Law of Crime, of the Haurul Caezk will be amended. It shall read: Ch. II. “Regarding blasphemy and heinous acts against GOD” II.VII. Let he who desecrates holy relics, artifacts, or sacred symbols be guilty of Blasphemous Vandalism. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Note: If this is passed, the Blasphemous Vandalism charge is meant to separate regular vandalism as a more serious offense when it involves the desecration of items or symbols considered sacred by the Church of Canon. This distinction emphasizes the gravity of the crime and the higher level of disrespect it shows towards religious and holy elements, ensuring that such acts are met with appropriate legal consequences.
