You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Tugging off the hood of her worn cloak, Mir'liewyn dipped her head slightly in greeting to the old woman as she hesitantly made her way towards the back. "Hello," the high elf replied, letting her knees fall onto the cushion with little sound, "I'm pleased to finally make your acquaintance; I was told that you would be able to help me." The hag leans back in her seat, taking in the full appearance of the weary traveler in front of her with a faint smile on her lips. "You are Claire's daughter," she concluded, her voice full of warmth, "the elf child left at her doorstep many moons back, yes?" Mir'liewyn nods, but looks down at the dirt at the mention of her mother's name. "She's passed away," the girl started, voice cracking at the end ever so slightly. The woman closes her eyes and mutters a prayer of sorts under her breath before speaking again, "She'd written to me about her failing health these past few months, worrying what'd happen to you after she left this world. She asked me to refer you to the library in Haelun'or in her last letter." Holding a breath, Mir'liewyn looks up to meet the other's gaze with nervous, but hopeful green eyes, "She said that your recommendation would overrule any objections to my non-standard upbringing." "Indeed it would as I hold some weight over in that corner," the old woman cackles, sizing up the young elf with a twinkling gleam in her eye. "You seem bright enough with a good head on your shoulders, why not?"
