You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Example: (delete this)
I place my heavy bags down on the little wooden table next to the cushion, before i take a seat. Taking a moment to stretch my tired muscles from my long journey.
"You said you've been expecting me? I assume you must be the one form the visions all these years" I say looking into her tired eyes. Those eyes being more familiar to me than most of my companions.
"Of course, we've been waiting for your return ever since you vanished all those years ago..." her voice trails off. Almost as if to give us both a moment to think back.
Many years ago when I was just a child that called these woods home. Our village had been attacked. Our sacred building and all our history demolished. All I can remember is seeing its burning remains as I was carried away by a stranger. I wouldn't receive the visions for many years later that lead me here.
"How'd you do it? How did you know that the visions would work? what's the point of coming back?" the questions begin to pour out. A lifetime of answers I had yearned for.
"First tell me all you remember and your answers will be found along the way.."
