She basically lectured me for not using my laptop, which is hard because when I use it in the dining room she makes me move it somewhere/pack it up, and she tells me to use it in my room when theres no bloody power socket. If you need me, I'll be facepalming in the corner

Tell her that the battery needs to keep it's charge to last, to keep it's charge it needs to be plugged in, in order for it to be plugged in it needs to be not in your room, for it to not be in your room you need to tell her about "the battery needs to keep it's charge to last..."
