With the Tyresian people being sundered, attempts to gather them all with war-galleys go under way. [MOD REQUIRED]

All the Tyresians in Sinet are shipped over to Tyre, along with 5,000 Sincans (around 6000 in total). They begin construction of a new port on the Northern shores, which will be named Tyrak. The underground city is scavenged, and converted to a mine. With the Tyresian people being split up and abandoned by their god, proselytisation efforts are renewed. [MOD AGAIN]

The exploratory galley continues to sail about the coast, keeping a close eye on the shore for any inhabitants. [MOD AGAIN]

The attempts at a Northern expedition are abandoned, and the scouting party returns home.

  2. Buubztik stands in the middle of San'Vitar, and begins to speak:

    "Bruddahz.

Wah duu wi konztunli mayk allyz owt ub dub Ztowtz? Jurin duh lazt wur, ohl mi peep'd en ztowtz wuz der ruhnin uhwai ur hydin en furtz, agh ef nub dat, der flat'n ad duh hundz ub sharaz agh twiggiz.

    ((In common for easiness))

    "Brothers.

Why do we constantly make allies out of the Dwarves? During the last war, all I saw of the Dwarves was their running away or hiding in forts, and if not that, dying at the hands of Humans and Elves.

Dwarves are cowardly. Dwarves are weak. Dwarves are greedy.

If an Uruk was cowardly, weak, or greedy, they would be declared whitewash. Then why do we aid non-Orcs who possess these vices?

It is for these reasons I refuse to join the so-called 'Kubz ub Krug' with the Dwarves. They are not worthy of our support."

The expedition to the north is relaunched, though this time the scouts are given camel-fur jackets, as well as thicker sleeping rolls and additional supplies.

The exploratory galley sails past the gulf and continues headig west.

10 of the transports are given a small escort of around 4 War-Galleys, and set sail for TYRE. They appear to be circumventing the Island repeatedly.

  4. SINHOTEP

At the meeting, the previously witty Sinhotep grows visibly uneasy at the mention of Zeran, but remains quiet on the matter.

He looks to the Harvest Guardian, and responds: "Probably not, Harvest-man, that's beyond me."

    ---

In Sinet; the population now stands at 100,000, with an additional small population of 750 Tyrinians. They are distributed as follows: 60,000 at Sinak, 25,000 at Nairak, and 15,000 at Shastak. Of those, around 20,000 were Hunter-Knights.

Trade with the Saidans goes well. In return for their practical resources, they are traded things like pearls, as well as parts of the sea monsters and exotic creatures that inhabit the lands and seas of Sinet.

The Hunter-Knights of Shastak report that the more humid environment of the outer swamp has rendered their composite bows less effective. As such, they are rearmed with the self bows, which are better suited to the humidity.

The transport fleet finishes construction, and with a great deal more time invested a great deal more ships are produced, enough to house 8,000 Hunter Knights and their mounts, or 16,000 Sincans without mounts, in addition to supplies and such. A fleet of 100 War-Galleys begins assembly to support the transport fleet.

A small expedition of 100 Hunter-Knights goes to the colder North, to scout for resources or inhabitants [MOD NEEDED]

Attempted conversion of the of the Tyrinian populace continues [MOD NEEDED]

A single large galley is outfitted for extended travel. It is given a group of 4 Fishermen, who are paid extra, who will ensure they have enough food during the intended journey. Also, learning from the mistakes of the Tyrininians, the cartographer ensures the maps will only be comprehensible through a specific method. It begins to sail along the Southern coast, with the intention of going west to explore. [MOD NEEDED, I'LL PM YOU THE METHOD STEPHEN]

    Sinhotep

The discovery of the Saidans was indeed exciting news to the Sincan government. Initially, the plan was to raid them like they had the Tyrinians, however, reports came in of formidable-looking defenses. The Priesthood asks that Sinhotep grant one of them the ability to speak their language, and he does so. The Priest then sets out with an escort of Hunter-Knights by sea to the Saidan port of Illian, with no threatening behaviours made.

Meanwhile, due to the Tyrinians retreat from the coast, the 30 galleys are recalled back home. The construction of several dozen transport ships begins, enough to transport about 3,000 Hunter-Knights and their mounts.

    ---

Back at the meeting, Sinhotep looks to the Harvest Guardian:

"Say what you will, I have no qualm with you. It's not like anything you speak or do is of any consequence anyway."

  6. Sinhotep

Sinhotep smiles wryly at Minisa, before responding to her:

"I do solemnly apologise for my Children's behaviour. Perhaps, though, the fault lies with your own people, for their weakness. I suppose, however, that in turn, the fault lies with you, their creator.

Maybe you should have made your people better."

  7. SINHOTEP

With the success of the raids, an additional 20 galleys are outfitted with ballista and skorpion, and sail off to join the raiding.

The Priesthood begins to attempt to convert the Tyrinians en masse, pointing to the fact that their God failed to protect them, whereas Sinhotep had led the Sincans to prosperity and glory. They are given the same rights as a normal Sincan worker, except that they cannot leave the walls of the city they have been placed in. [MOD PL0X]

  8. SINHOTEP

Sinhotep responds to Minisa "I am not the master of my children, I do not command them or lord over them. They are their own masters."

The raiding galleys are both swift and well-armed. The archers of Tyre defending the ports are cut down by the Skorpion, and their defenses levelled by ballista. The construction of the walls about the islanders is constantly harassed by the raiders.

After any successful raid or plunder or attack on Tyre, any prisoners are taken back to Nairak. They are made part of the work-force and are treated well.

[MOD NEEDED FOR ALL THAT TO SEE HOW GOES IT]

  9. SINHOTEP

The maps and equipment are sent to Sinak to be studied by the Priesthood, whilst the food is distributed amongst the sailors of the galleys. After long consideration over their contents, which seemed to point towards and island to the South, a decision is made.

A small fleet of around 10 Galleys is assembled and outfitted with both ballista and skorpion. The fleet sails South, where it begins to perform hit-and-run raids on the small ports of TYRE. The order they are raided in is rather arbitrary, so as to hinder anticipation of attack after the first few raids.

  10. SINHOTEP

The population of Sinet had now grown to 36,000, of which around 9,000 were Hunter-Knights. They were distributed as follows: 20,000 in Sinak, 10,000 in Nairak, 6,000 in Shastak. The Hunter-Knights had taken to using more suitable and refined equipment. They are now equipped with lamellar armour, a composite bow, and a curved scimitar. Over time the camels have been bred for greater speed and stamina, almost reaching the speed of a horse now.

    ----------

As the unknown ship comes close to Nairak, alarms ring throughout the coastal town. Several skorpion-fitted galleys converge on it, and attempt to clear the decks, then board. [MOD NEEDED]

Sinhotep responds to Volkhardt, agreeing to meet him. He would appear in this form:

  11. [RIP nice looking posts]

    SINHOTEP

A couple of Hunter-Knights ride back to the capital to inform the Priest-King of their findings. Around 500 settlers and 100 additional Hunter-Knights return (bringing the total there to 200) to build a fort on the spot, as well as a village for additional farming and lumber. The swamp is converted into polders to make it far more arable than even normal plains, and a couple of lumberjacks are set up to cut wood and send surplus timber back to the capital. The 200 Hunter-Knights take up residence in the newly constructed fort, and regularly patrol the border into the deep swamp. The fort itself is fitted with a ballista and a skorpion.

With Sinet now consisted of multiple settlements, the government in the capital decide to officially name each one. The capital is named Sinak. The coastal town is named Nairak. The swamp village is named Shastak.

    Sinhotep

After Zeran and his dragon left, a collective sigh of relief swept over Sinet. After a while, the dreaded feeling that they might return subsided, and life returned to normal in Sinet.

    ========

Many years later, and the events of that day had largely faded into legend, though the Priesthood still kept recordings of it. The Sincan population in the capital had grown to some 10,000, whilst that of the coastal settlement was around 2,000. The ballistae were fitted to galleys which would escort the fishing vessels, however the Sincan forces soon found them to be rather ineffective. As such, a smaller, more precise version was created to help combat the sea-borne beasts, called the Skorpion.

    810.jpg

The ballistae are still kept, though, and some were built upon the walls of the capital, and on the coast as a permanent defense fixture after the threat of the Dragon.

The size of the Hunter-Knight force is around 3,000 now, though hunting is starting to be phased out of society in place of farming. Despite this, they still play a prominent role in society, though the Knight in Hunter-Knight is what they largely play now.

An expedition into the swamp of around 100 Hunter-Knights is launched, to claim the land for Sinet. [MOD NEEDED]

    Sinhotep

Sinhotep responds to Zeran, his anxiety growing:

"My people found ceremonial robes and armour, along with ceramics and golden coins. Most of the gold coins were smelted down for other uses, they are an industrious folk. Surely one of your power would care not for such material things?"
